Saving the Harefield Academy more than just money
The Harefield Academy is an award winning establishment, built to educate 1,000 students. Completed in 2008, it is situated in Harefield, Middlesex and is already renowned for its high quality.
The Challenge
The Harefield Academy had been rebuilt to accommodate 1,000 students. The aim was to create modern washrooms that complemented the spectacular building. They were looking for an innovative and efficient solution to hand drying as the site had traditionally used paper towels.
The Solution
Albany provided a full consultation service including a hygiene and environmental survey. This revealed that the Dyson Airblade hand dryer would perfectly match the décor, reduce costs as well as improve hygiene. It also reduced the Academy’s carbon footprint, by eliminating the sending of hundreds of tons of paper to landfill each year.
The Airblade was demonstrated to the key members of the facilities management team and their feedback was extremely favourable.
Consequently The Harefield Academy adopted the Albany fixed price purchase option for the Dyson Airblade which included the installation, educational backboards (designed to educate the users) and a full repair and replacement warranty.
The Result
Albany’s solution represented a direct cost saving of £13,000.
Albany has also eliminated the labour cost of paper stock and waste paper disposal costs.
The pupils and staff now enjoy a quick and hygienic hand drying solution whilst The Harefield Academy benefits from the cost savings, as well as managing its impact on the environment.
